When Jacques Combaulr was in high school, he wanted co be a surgeon. His love of mathematics and the physical sciences redirecred him toward engineering, however, and he graduated in 1965 from Ecole Centrale Lyonnaise with a master’s in engineering.
The medical world’s loss was the bridge design and consrrucrion indusrry’s gain.
