It’s not every day you get to see the deconstruction of a segmental bridge.
FINLEY was responsible for the concept, temporary works design, analysis and deconstruction sequence for the deconstruction of this 180-foot-long bridge segmental bridge. The bridge was designed and built using seismic standards. The bridge demolition had to occur over the weekend to create room for the widening of Interstate 15 as part of Project Neon. Additionally, the bridge had to be deconstructed without impacting the adjacent span and pier.
