The project includes replacement of an existing old bridge and increasing the clear width between piers for D0 expressway. The bridge was designed as composite section with steel I-girders and concrete deck of 11.25 m width, carrying 2 lanes of traffic. The bridge has total length of 82.9 m and 3 simple spans 14.2 – 41.5 – 14.2 m with continuous concrete deck.
FINLEY has provided the full construction engineering package consisting of substructure and superstructure design checks for the Contractor’s erection method (by ground crane) along with geometry control and 3D construction manual. Full set of shop drawings was provided: substructure (abutments + piers), steel girders, concrete deck, bridge utilities (barriers, railings) and temporary deviation road. FINLEY prepared the Load Rating loading schemes and calculations predicting the expected deformations (successfully achieved).
